For leaders

OVA risk assessment workshop

A one-day working session for OH&S leads. Map exposure points, identify control gaps, and leave with a written prevention plan you can act on.

Duration1 day
FormatHybrid
LevelOH&S leads
CapacityUp to 12 leaders

What it covers

A guided risk assessment process specifically scoped to occupational violence and aggression. We work through your incident data, your control framework, and the gaps between policy and what actually happens at the workplace.

The day is structured as a working session, not a presentation. By the end of the workshop you have a draft prevention plan — not a list of things you have to write up afterwards.

What you leave with

  • A documented OVA risk register mapped against your existing controls
  • A prioritised list of control gaps with owners and rough timelines
  • A draft prevention plan ready for SLT review
  • A clear framework for what to escalate to your safety committee, and when
  • Templates for the parts you’ll need to repeat (incident review, near-miss capture)

How it’s delivered

One day in your facility (or hybrid for distributed teams), with a half-day pre-read so we’re not spending the workshop getting up to speed. We’ll send a short data request two weeks ahead so the whiteboard work is grounded in your actual exposure.

Who it’s for

Workplace health and safety leads, HR partners, operations managers, and anyone with formal accountability for OVA control measures. Especially valuable when a regulator finding or a serious incident has put OVA back on the SLT’s agenda.
